Studio ’89

Studio ’89 was a hands-on course in which students did a live-to-tape multi-camera recording of live in-studio concert performances. The concerts were aired live on radio station WNKU (89.7 FM) and the televised production was broadcast on PBS TV stations throughout Kentucky. Above is a sample show from the class I taught. This show  won a national Telly Award for production excellence. Chris Strobel’s class had won the same award the summer before. This was Chris’ brilliant creation and I’m glad I didn’t screw things up when I thought it.
